Like most Asian kids, he was forced to play the piano at a young age and as he grew, he began to embrace music. He grew up with classical music and played the violin for 8 years. In ’99, he got his first turntables with some buddies and hasn’t stopped since. 
Dis B John grew up in the Dallas EDM scene spinning trance and breakbeats and now spins all genres including Top 40, Dance, Hip Hop, and Retro. He has held many residencies and performed in the top clubs in Dallas including Karma, Sting, Blue, Che, Wish, Red Jacket, Liquid, 8 Lounge, Buddha 9, Shadow Lounge, Spy, M:5 (Area 51), and Bronco Bowl.
He has also been able to travel across the U.S. performing in many cities including Minneapolis, Wichita, Austin, Houston, New Orleans, Biloxi, Charlotte, Fayateville, OKC, Kansas City, and Atlanta. After 10 years of having multiple residencies weekly, he got burnt out and wasn’t enjoying deejaying as much. He took a much needed break and focused on his loved ones and career.
Now back from a 2 year break, Dis B John can be seen spinning at private events, weddings, and local events during the week.
